Dear incoming student,

Congratulations again to you and your family on saying "yes" to Yale's offer of admission. We look forward to welcoming you to campus on move-in day, Sunday, August 18. That may seem like a long time from now, but it will be here before you know it. In the meantime, there's lots for you to do to prepare for your arrival.

Your next steps, if you haven't taken them already, are to:

  1. Activate your NetID
  2. Set up your Yale email account
  3. Complete the Housing, Advising, and Camp Yale Form (Due May 9)

If you only recently replied to Yale's offer of admission, wait to receive separate instructions on activating your NetID. You will need a personal PIN that will appear on your admissions status portal when ready—typically one or two days after submitting the admissions offer reply form.

The Housing, Advising, and Camp Yale Form is hosted on Yale Connect, an important virtual community platform where you will find information about orientation programming and upcoming campus events. Note that it may take up to 24 hours for your Yale Connect account to become available after you activate your NetID and email account.

If you are graduating from secondary school this academic year, be sure to work with your school counselor or registrar to have your final transcript sent to the admissions office no later than July 10. We accept digital copies via the Common Application or Coalition application, the Application Material Upload Form for Educators (using your Application Reference ID 890162776) or by email to aaron.brockway@yale.edu. You will also receive separate instructions about sending official test scores, if applicable.

In the weeks and months ahead, you will receive many messages that will help you prepare for your transition to Yale. A list of new student forms and tasks will be updated on the Yale College webpage for incoming students. For now, thank you for your quick attention to these first items.
