The University urges all students to obtain personal property insurance to protect against loss of or damage to their belongings. As the Undergraduate Regulations stipulate, Yale assumes no responsibility for personal property on its premises or within its buildings. If you do not carry other insurance, Yale has arranged for access to an insurance program that you can purchase on your own. The coverage provided is comprehensive and competitive, enrollment is easy, and coverage also applies to University property that you may have in your possession, both on or off campus.
