Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB)

Purpose

This newly formed committee hopes to examine the current state of belonging in the Yale College Dean’s Office. With that understanding, committee members will attempt to create a desired future state and develop a plan with short- and long-term actions.

Committee Role and Goals 

  1. Provide input, insight and a voice to Yale College on DEIB issues.  
  2. Focus on embedding DEIB into our culture rather than as a project or initiative.  
  3. Provide feedback on topics such as surveys and educational opportunities. 
  4. Each year 2 goal assigned to member of ‘management team’.  
  5. Review progress and provide suggestions on year 2 goals.
