Yale College students enjoy excellent dining options on campus. The residential colleges and the Schwartzman Center employ accomplished chefs who, along with their staffs, offer undergraduates an impressive range of dining options and thoughtful accommodations for any dietary preference. 

The Yale Dining website houses all information regarding student meal plan options and the dining hall calendar/operating schedule for the current year.

  • Undergraduates who elects to live on campus must have a meal plan contract through Yale Dining.  
  • First-year students are required to have the Full Meal Plan but have the option of upgrading to the optional Anytime Meal Plan.
  • Upper-level resident students may choose either the Anytime Meal Plan, the Full Meal Plan, or the Any-14 Meal Plans.
  • Students who live off campus may select (on a term basis) the Off Campus Meal Plan, the Full Meal Plan, the Any-14 Meal Plan, or Eli Bucks for the purchase of individual meals.

Additional campus dining options include Durfee’s convenience store, Café Med, and the Divinity Refectory.

Kosher Meals

Kosher undergraduate meal plan holders are invited to use a meal transfer at the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life. All students are welcome to purchase single meals there.  Slifka hours of operation and service information are available on the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life website.
