Residential College Seminar Program

The Residential College Seminar program, instituted in 1968, is devoted to the development of innovative courses that fall outside traditional departmental structures. The instructors for the seminar program are drawn from the University community and from the region, including individuals outside academic life, such as writers, artists, journalists, and participants in government and the public sector.

For Instructors: Information about applying to teach a college seminar is available on the Residential College Seminar Program information page for prospective instructors. General information for instructors about teaching in Yale College can be found in the Yale College Web site’s Faculty section. Applications to teach in the program are due at the beginning preceding term. For the fall term, the deadline to apply is in mid-January; for the spring term, the deadline to apply is in early September.
