Center for International and Professional Experience
The Yale Center for International and Professional Experience (CIPE) offers support and resources related to study abroad, international and domestic internships, career advising, summer study, and funding opportunities such as fellowships and scholarships. Advisers at the CIPE office, located at 55 Whitney Avenue, offer scheduled appointments and walk-in hours, and the CIPE library is open to current students and alumni.
Center for Language Study
The Center for Language Study (CLS) provides resources and support for students working with languages that are new to them. CLS supports the study of language and culture in a community of practice for language instructors and teaching fellows. All Yale students, regardless of whether they are formally enrolled in language courses, have access to CLS facilities, including its study rooms.
Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning
The Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning offers one-on-one tutoring in both the sciences and the humanities. CLS consolidates the various teaching, tutoring, writing and technology-enabled learning programs distributed across the University for the benefit of students and instructors.
Office of Student Accessibility Services
The Office of Student Accessibility Services (OSAS) provides services and information for students with disabilities. OSAS works to remove physical and attitudinal barriers that may prevent students with disabilities from fully participating in the University community. OSAS services include: housing accommodations, classroom and special testing accommodations, visual materials in alternative formats, loans of special equipment. Registration with OSAS is confidential. Students are required to contact the OSAS at the beginning of every term for academic accommodations. Early planning is critical to successful accommodations, so contacting the office during the summer months is encouraged.
Yale University Library
In addition to its collections and study spaces, the Yale University Library offers academic research support to undergraduates at all levels. Engagement with the Library’s collections, staff, and services transforms the intellectual and academic development of Yale students, and distinguishes an education at Yale from other academic institutions.
