Welcome, 2022 Early Action Students
To the members of the Class of 2022,
Congratulations on your acceptance to Yale College! I am one of many people eagerly waiting to meet you in August. Among them are the heads and deans of the residential colleges, the deans of Yale College, and the counselors, tutors, advisers, and members of the faculty who will all play important roles in your college education. We look forward to welcoming you to an academic community that will challenge you, inspire you, and help you shape the rest of your life.
On April 1, information for the class of 2022 will become available on the first-year website, so I hope that you will return then to learn more about special academic programs such as Directed Studies or the First-Year Seminar program, and to attend to practical matters such as completing forms for housing and advising. You will also be able to find information about making the transition to college, including what to bring and how to start thinking about courses for your first year. In the meantime, you are welcome to visit the current site so that you see what is available to the class of 2021, and you are also welcome to send questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
With best wishes from New Haven,
Marvin M. Chun
Dean of Yale College
