Eve Famutimi

Student Life Program Manager

I join my voice with that of others to welcome you to Yale. My name is Eve Famutimi and as program manager for the Office of Student Life my role affords me the opportunity to assist in your transition by coordinating some aspects of Camp Yale Programs, alongside the amazing directors that you will get to know while participating in their respective programs.

Originally from Nigeria, where I spent my formative years, I spent the later part of my teenage years in what is now known as Michigan. As an international student, I obtained my bachelor's and master’s degrees from Central Michigan University. Despite many years living in the Great Lakes state of Michigan and its brutal wintery seasons, I long for sunny days and the summer heat! Do not be surprised when you hear me talk about how freezing it feels, even at 60 degrees!

This year marks my 6th year as a higher education professional–my trajectory and career interests aligned originally with intergovernmental work, which led me to degrees in political science and international relations, as well as service in the US Army. However, after my partner got his first job as an assistant professor, I made the decision to explore a career in higher education. I have found each day quite rewarding and exhilarating.

You will find that time flies by quickly, so I urge you to utilize your time wisely, not only when engaging in the academic rigors at Yale College, but by cultivating hobbies and getting involved in extracurricular activities that will enrich your life, even beyond your years at Yale. I can’t wait to welcome you officially in August! Until then, be well!
