Dear Class of 2026,

We cannot wait to welcome you all to campus this Sunday! Preparations are in full swing for your arrival - your rooms are clean, food is on order, and the student leaders are already on campus waiting for you. Before you arrive, here are a few last pieces of important information:

Move-In: You should have already signed up for a move-in time slot in the housing portal. If not, or if you need to check your reservation, you can do so within the StarRez portalYou should also have received specific instructions from your residential college about where you should arrive. If you are planning to arrive by car, please print out a car sign (scroll down to the middle of the webpage) with the name of the building in which you will be living and display it in your windshield to help the traffic guides to direct you to the right place. Attached, you will find a list of parking options for Sunday, August 21 (PDF). Fully vaccinated family and friends are welcome to help you move in.

COVID Testing: Please remember to take a test before you leave for campus. If you test positive, do not come to campus; instead, call the Campus COVID Resource Line (203-432-6604) for instructions. Once you are here, you will need to take an arrival test through the campus Color testing system, using one of the test kids that you will receive when you pick up your room key. You can find more instructions about the testing process on the Yale COVID-19 website.

Calendar of Opening Days: The Calendar of Opening Days is now available on the Yale College Class of 2026 Yale Connect page. Your FroCo will go over the schedule with you when you arrive and talk through which events are mandatory and when your specific workshops will be. Yale Connect allows you to filter the events and search for topics you are particularly interested in.

See you all very soon,
Dean Peck
