Dear students,

If you are making plans for summer experiences abroad, please review the university's Travel Policy for Yale College Students. Starting today, the policy expands the range of destinations now possible with Yale support.

The policy has implications for any coming university-sponsored travel, including study abroad, funded research and projects, and internships and work experiences. It applies to you if your international travel is funded by Yale, receives Yale credit, or is connected with a registered student organization.

The policy, which has been in place for many years, undergoes regular review, so please refer to it at all phases of your preparations, since it could be revised in response to changing circumstances, including COVID-19 developments.

If you have questions after reading the policy and have done your own work on the status of your plans, you can as always communicate with the office that is supporting any planned-for activity abroad. If you are unclear about whom to contact with any questions about the policy, please direct questions about study abroad, fellowships or funding, and internships to their respective websites.

Sincerely,

Marvin M. Chun
Dean of Yale College
Richard M. Colgate Professor of Psychology; Neuroscience; Cognitive Science

Jane Edwards, Ph.D
Dean of International and Professional Experience
Senior Associate Dean in Yale College
