Y-Work Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Student Employees

The Yale College Dean's Office (YCDO) and Office of Undergraduate Financial Aid (UFA) have created the Y-Work Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Student Employees in order to celebrate the many positive experiences of student employment on campus and to highlight great opportunities for and critical contributions by our student employees. The Y-Work prize will be awarded annually to a handful of current undergraduates whose dedication to their on-campus job has had a positive impact on the community through one of Yale’s departments, offices, labs, libraries, museums, residential colleges, or other part of campus.

Y-Work Award Winners 2018

On April 10, 2018 Dean Chun announced the ten students selected as winners of the inaugural Y-Work Award. Winners and their supervisors were recognized at a reception in April at the Dean's Residence.

Student employment at Yale

Summer and term-time on-campus employment is a core student experience at Yale and an opportunity for our students not only to invest in their education, but to extend their learning beyond the classroom and make valuable and lasting contributions to Yale’s community. Student employees, including both those who receive financial aid and those who don't, help to shape Yale through their work across the entire campus.
