Undergraduate students at Yale enjoy a wide variety of delicious and nutritious meal options through Yale Hospitality’s dining services. Both an impressing array of dining choices and dietary accommodations are available through meal plans at each residential college dining hall.

Dining service menus are developed with a commitment to wholesome, sustainable, and plant-forward foods, culturally-based cuisine, and are heavily rooted in the Mediterranean diet.

Students who live off campus may also purchase a meal plan to enjoy Yale's multiple cafes which offer convenient options to students unable to attend formal dining hours. Resident students are also welcome to use their lunch meal swipe at café locations.

Students may also pre-order SmartMeals through the Yale Hospitality mobile app. This app allows students to review daily menus, nutritional information, and more. The Yale Hospitality website provides key information regarding student meal plan options for dining halls, retail operations, and operating schedules for the academic year.

The Dining Services section of Yale Undergraduate Regulations details Yale’s dining policies.

Kosher Meals

Kosher undergraduate meal plan holders are invited to use a meal transfer at the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life. All students are welcome to purchase single meals there.  Slifka hours of operation and service information are available on the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life website.
