Lunches with Dean Marvin Chun
September 15, 2017
With the semester now underway, I am scheduling a series of lunches in the residential colleges so that I can meet with you in small groups and hear what is on your minds.
The topics for these meetings are yours to set; my goal is to hear from you directly. I have already had a chance to talk with many of you over the past few weeks, both during move-in and at community events. Some of you have told me how recent natural disasters have affected your families or your friends, and many of you have talked with me, both in person and by writing to me, about news about DACA. You have shared your responses to events and changes here on campus, and you have told me about ideas for future ones. I am looking forward to continuing these conversations and starting new ones as well.
The lunches will be held on October 3 at noon; October 30 at noon; and November 17 at 12:30. You can sign up for a seat at any of them by September 22 by clicking here; seats at oversubscribed lunches will be determined by lottery. You will receive a confirmation either way soon after the deadline. I do plan to schedule more of these lunches in the spring, so if you are unable to attend any of them this semester you will be able to sign up for one then. Whether or not I see you at one of these events, I look forward to seeing you around campus.
