Application for fall-term seminars takes place in late August; application for spring-term seminars takes place from mid-December to early January. Please note that the demand for many of the freshman seminars is far greater than the supply of spaces available, and not everyone who applies to the program will be able to enroll in a seminar. Students who are enrolled in either Directed Studies (DS) or Perspectives on Science and Engineering (PSE) are ordinarily not permitted to enroll in a freshman seminar and will be admitted to a seminar only if space is available. Students who are not admitted to a fall-term seminar will have priority in the spring-term application process.
